Raymon Blondel runs for European Paralympic Committee presidency

Raymon Blondel, president of the National Paralympic Committee and board member of Olympic Committee of The Netherlands , is running for president of the European Paralympic Committee (EPC). On November 6th, the 55 members of the European Paralympic Committee will elect their new president for the next four years. The chairman of the Swedish Paralympic Committee, Åsa Llinares Norlin, is the only other candidate for the presidency.

Raymon Blondel: "I’m highly motivated to take up the challenges of the European Paralympic Movement. The European Paralympic Committee has so much potential. As joint Paralympic Committees in Europe, we can create a more inclusive continent through Paralympic sport. With a stronger European Paralympic Committee, we can establish a great platform that really does justice to the inspirational power of European Paralympic Movement."

Raymon Blondel is also involved in the European Para Championships that will take place in Rotterdam in 2023. As a former president of the Dutch Ski Association and board member of the Olympic Committee of The Netherlands, Raymon Blondel has the ambition to take the European Paralympic Committee to next level. Together with the members of the European Paralympic Committee, he is committed to build a strong European Paralympic Committee and to lay the foundation for a tradition of attractive Paralympic events in Europe.
